Hiking for your Youngest Explorers!

Join us on an unforgettable private adventure through the mesmerizing landscapes near Asheville, NC! This specially designed hiking tour for children is guaranteed to delight the young explorers in your group. We know that bringing children on hikes can have its challenges. That’s why we have designed this tour to include child-friendly trails, plenty of rest breaks, and loads of fun!

During the Tiny Trailblazers Tour, children will discover the natural wonders of the North Carolina mountains while engaging in fun, nature-based games and activities. Our expert guide will lead the way, ensuring a safe and entertaining experience for the entire family.

To begin one of the best North Carolina tours for children, you will meet your guide at a public location in West Asheville before following in your personal vehicle to the designated trailhead. Once on the trail, you can take a step back from parenting and let our guide do the heavy lifting!

During the tour, you can allow yourself to be enchanted by the breathtaking panoramic views while your children will be participating in nature-based games & activities! While your children are entertained, your guide, a Western North Carolina local, will be sharing fascinating facts about the region’s rich history, so your entire group leaves with lasting memories.

Grab your swimsuits because the second stop on the Tiny Trailblazers Tour is to one of the most impressive waterfalls and creeks in the area! After marveling at the gushing water plummeting into a basin, you’ll make a stop at a refreshing stream where your children can splash and play in the cool NC mountain waters! Safety is our utmost priority, so your guide will help provide supervision while children (and adults!) frolic in knee-deep waters.

Parents can expect a worry-free adventure when booking this tour. Your guide is experienced in elementary school teaching, has passed a background check, and has children of her own. She will tap into the active imaginations kids wield by providing an arsenal of engaging activities tailored to your children’s age group.

At the conclusion of the tour, feel free to follow your guide back to West Asheville or stay and explore more on your own!

We strive to keep our child-focused tour closer to the easier side of hiking. However, the terrain of Western North Carolina is mountainous and rugged, so some areas may cross over into the moderate category. Expect some inclines and root/rock obstacles.

This tour averages about 2 miles of hiking and generally lasts around 3 hours.

We prefer to meet at 8:00 AM to be finished by early afternoon.

If you are staying in the Asheville area, you will meet your guide at a public meeting location in West Asheville. When you receive your booking confirmation email, you will receive the exact location for where to meet your guide. We also ask that you follow the guide in your personal vehicle. This allows for greater flexibility if guests choose to continue their adventure after the tour concludes.

Please contact us if you are staying outside of Asheville and would like to meet your guide at the designated trailhead at 9:00 AM
