Embark on a captivating tour with this guided morning hike that will leave you with jaw-dropping views and a lifetime of memories. Lasting approximately 3 hours, this carefully crafted hiking tour is the perfect way to hit the highlights nestled in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

 

You’ll meet your expert guide at a convenient public meeting spot before following in your vehicle to the designated trailhead. This tour starts off strong by showing you one of North Carolina’s most impressive waterfalls. Once you’ve dipped your toes in the fresh mountain water, you’ll head to the second stop on your mountain journey: a 360 degree view of pure mountain perfection!

 

This tour is the perfect choice for your first visit to the mountains of North Carolina. You’ll get a diverse sampling of Appalachian scenery with plenty of opportunities to take pictures, nibble a snack, or just stop to soak it all in. Along the way, your local guide will entertain you with fascinating facts about the area, as well as provide you with a curated itinerary for other nearby scenic spots. So, even after the hike ends, your exploration can continue!

We strive to keep our comprehensive tour friendly for all skill levels. However, the terrain of Western North Carolina is mountainous and rugged, so some terrain on this tour crosses over into the moderate category. Expect some inclines and root/rock obstacles.

This tour averages about 2 hiking miles total and generally lasts approximately 3 hours.

Tours meet at 8:00 AM in order to be complete by early afternoon.

If you are staying in the Asheville area, you will meet your guide at a public meeting location in West Asheville. When you receive your booking confirmation email, you will receive the exact location for where to meet your guide. We also ask that you follow the guide in your personal vehicle. This allows for greater flexibility if guests choose to continue their adventure after the tour concludes.

 

Please contact us if you are staying outside of Asheville and would like to meet your guide at the designated trailhead at 9:00 AM

-Supportive tennis shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Hiking sandals are another option for water crossings or swimming. Rubber soles with traction are best.

-If you plan to go swimming, please wear your bathing suit under your clothes.

-The temperature & weather in this area can be temperamental. Please bring extra layers for higher elevations.

Yes! Children are welcome on this tour! However, if you have children younger than 10, consider booking the Tiny Trailblazers tour. It is in the same location, but caters to young children by including fun, child-based activities!

Yes! We are happy to have your pup on this tour, but please remember that he/she needs to be on a 6 foot, non-retractable leash. Please bring food & water (bowl) for your pet.

Our guides are CPR/First Aid Certified. We carry a basic First Aid kit, but please bring personal medication if necessary (e.g. Epipen, enhaler, etc).

Tips are never required, but always appreciated!
